1985 john deere 212 will it start part #1

Points plunger not coming out far enough I have a blade on the front tiller on the back I bought a 212 someone was restoring it they had dispute so I got it has new tires no rear pan on foot peg.

Good luck with that 212. Hope it's not too messed up beyond repair. I got a buddy just restored a 112. Only thing missing is a muffler. It's got the Kohler in it. Any thoughts on where to find a used one? He said new was $150-200.
