@@loucostabile we had a lot of fun in it. Lots of stares. The local police force knew it well…San Quentin Silver and Arrest Me Red. Passed everything but the gas station. Yes. Fond memories and like with most rare cars I wish we never would have sold it but some guy offered more than we could pass up. You know. Young and dumb. Oh well. It was fun.

Fine machine!!! Those 302's are Ford tough!! I seen a 1986 mustang GT 5speed car that was driven by a grown man serviced the they should be with over 400,000.0miles on it!! It idle with 30lbs oil pressure!! Only thing that looked worn was driver's seat!!

What a neat Capri! I loved those Capri's back then a lot better than a Mustang but of course I love Mercury more than Ford but I love both. Loved that engine sound and the owner and his story on this car was just awesome. Never knew they had a car made like this I learned something new. I do like Jack Roush though always did he is a great guy. What a unique car Lou! Thanks for showing us this neat car!

These car's are very lite, not cause they cheap, but cause FORD put the steel were it belongs on these car's!! I've not driven a 85 Capri , but hav driven 86 mustang gt 5speed car just factory these cars will make ur neck hurt, when just bearly getting on it and shifting gears at 4000rpm engine got so much tork to weight of car!! Ford knows how to make driving truly enjoyable if they want to!!!

@@loucostabile it's definitely cool and then some. They were always a favorite of mine even today. Back in the 80s we had a few mustangs but never a Capri RS. Just north of Nashville it seemed every other kid in highschool had one. I had a early 84 SVO with crank windows and a 93 lx 5.0 hatch and my little brother had a 87 sedan and 89 sedan lx 5.0. There is a guy here in town that still has his Capri RS from high school it's white I believe 85 model maybe 86 can't remember 3rd light. Anyway he has the neatest licence plate it says "tin toy" and has had that on there since the 80s. Wish I would have held onto a few of ours. Had a 78 400 4speed Trans Am that was wore out in 1985 but still fun, a 81 z28 automatic and a 82 trans am 305 3 speed auto base model without the crossfire fuel injection. Other ford's non mustangs we had were a 86 tbird turbo coupe 5 speed before they intercooler them and changed body style and a 86 xr4ti 5 speed which was a very "cool' car not real fast but definitely a looker. The 90s and 2000s brought much faster cars but never as good of times as we had in those. I would definitely look into those center caps.

So basically your buddy couldn't drive his mom's 85 gt if you guys got beat every race being they are the exact same car as far as drivetrain. Suppose the mustang could have been an automatic and the Capri a 5speed, even at that they were close.
