At 10:59 mower coming out of shed. It has a twin bagger, however there is an individual chute for each bag. One on left of deck, one on right side of deck

My parents bought a new riding mower from Montgomery Ward in the mid 80's. It was light blue and had a truck type bed behind the seat with a removable tailgate. Never seen another one!

I have a red Dynamark tractor with a bed and removable tailgate, I have a video of it on my channel, I recommend you check it out. As far as a blue one with bed, I have seen pics/videos of one but not in person, and I believe those were Dynamark as well. Montgomery Wards sold other brands than there own, so its possible that they could have purchased as Dynamark? ? Only speculation.

I have a 1985 montgomery ward garden tractor like that. I envy you for having that catalog. I would love to have one and maybe try to get my hands on some of those attachments for it. Mine came with the deck, and it was off and torn up. That's all it came with. I just got another old mtd tractor that has the same deck and mounting hardware thatll go on there and hopefully itll fit and work. Fingers crossed! Thanks for posting this video!

As long as the decks are the same and have the same mounting brackets it should fit no problem. If the pulley setup is different you might run into a slight problem but most Mtd mowers through the 80s had one common style of deck attachment. The bigger Garden style mowers had a different attachment setup from the smaller ones though. Some decks have extra holes for swapping the brackets too. Just some things to keep in mind. Hope it works out for you, gotta keep these from the scrapyard.

@@76hotrodF250 i think itll work good. It's got all the same hardware, and I already did pull the old hardware. Its got the same drivetrain and deck setup, even the same motor, but i swapped my 85 for a v twin last week. I got sick of the opposed twin taking the entire battery just to start, then it didnt charge after that. I didnt get more than three starts out of one good battery.

@@NateWilson99 Cool man, and as long as you take care of it, it should last a long time. Newer riders just don't have the quality anymore. Also, it sounds like the opposed twin stator is shorted out. I have a Dayton with a 20hp opposed and it doesn't charge ether, but at least it doesn't drain the battery, I solved the issue for now my installing a plug in maintainer charger that stays plugged in when I'm not using the tractor.

5:55 - Item B: was that rear-throwing powered reel mower made by King O'Lawn? 6:20 - although item C (same as MTD's 185-312-000) was the only electric mower in this catalog, I remember they also sold two other electric models: a twin-blade 18" side-discharge (same as the Sunbeam/Mastercut 4318) and a rear-bagger made of Xenoy (same as the Mastercut 4420), perhaps also with a two-speed motor (like the Sears Craftsman 3704).

I have one of those monkey wards tractors. The one with the woman sitting on it. Mine still runs and use it for mowing. I like old stuff.

Muddy Boots I have 3 of those particular model mowers like the lady is sitting on. All of them need work, but I got plans for two of them. Old stuff was built much better and last longer.

That was expensive for a riding mower in 1985
