Pretty amazing the support that running had in the States in the 70s 80s & 90s. This video is great because one can see Lisa Martin debut in marathon running along with the great Grete Waitz

In this 1985, Bill Rodgers took fifth with 2.15 in finishing time. That was great.

It was my worst marathon performance because of the hot and humid NY weather that day. 2 hrs 48 mins finishing 362 overall. My target was to do at least 2 hrs 25 min. Great experience, whatever.......
