Doesn't hurt to try 😁 the way I look at it, Guess what 30 40 bucks to change it out if it works then you don't have to rebuild but if it doesn't work at least you know

Highly recomend you use a Fel Pro Gasket i just got mine changed and it works great!!! also i just swaped the seals of the shift shaft (attatched to transmission)

I'll definitely throw a Fel Pro gasket on when I drop the fluid again.

Glad she is back on the road. Gotta keep these old vans going. It would be a shame to park it and let it die. I have the 4x4 model that I had to break down and have the tranny rebuild on. No regrets, glad its done. Still more to do, but I really like driving it and I am sure you will enjoy driving yours. Continue to stick with it and keep the vids coming.

Guys, a question, I changed the block gasket of my Toyota van 86 and it keeps heating up, change everything, clean the water pump, radiator, fan clutch, water lines, ect. But I realize that under my toyota van there is like a radiator with a rusty fan but it doesn't work what function does that radiator do apart with another fan it's in the front below tell me if it's to cool the transmission or if it's to cool the engine or For the air conditioning, please, I'll be very grateful. Thank you.

HappyHolidays All! I am about to do a transmission filter replacement job on my 85 Van, but have a question please, how can I disconnect the feeder tube to the transmission pan? Any tips? thank you ALL!

I wouldn't take the tube out of the pan I would take the tube with the pan and bolt it up top

They definitely are and so far so good two weeks later after repair it's running and shifting awesome no noises.
