He held his rod in front of his reel back then. Now he says people who hold rods that way don't know what they are doing. PS- I still hold my rod at the foregrip as well- gives me a chance to feel the line for subtle bites and more leverage for setting the hook.

It's crazy how if you took a $60 Shimano Black Max back in time and offered it to these anglers they'd think it was the most amazing thing compared to the reels they're using :)
@TracyStroup-em7qs11 ай бұрын
Randy, I really enjoy your videos. My question is did the fishermen say the same thing when the flasher came out or the first electronics? I say probably, but now a fisherman can use all kinds of electronics to help them catch fish. In my opinion if any electrical device is used to find fish it's not any different than Ffs. I do have LiveScope and my wife says it's cheating. I tell her that if you are using anything other than your hand to catch fish your cheating. The difference now is that it depends on how much you want to spend and who has that much money. I think eventually there will be tournaments where a person can have Ffs and tournaments where you can't. I would like to see tournaments where you can't use any electronics. Thanks for your videos and keep fishing.
