Okay stupid question here. But what kind of configuration exhaust/setup did some cars have that sounds like 4 cylinders? I just wanted that clarified. Thanks!

I believe some teams ran with the V6 engine on the road courses for better fuel economy. Junior Johnson ran the engines from their older Buicks.
