Apologies for the audio quality! Working on getting a microphone for my upcoming videos :) But here is my 1986 Cadillac Coupe DeVille that has been sitting in a field for 5 years with no keys, enjoy!

Props for giving a car with such high miles a second chance at life! Somebody clearly loved that ol girl at some point. People trash on the 4100 motors, but by 1986 most of the problems had been ironed out. Almost 400k on one of those is absolutely wild, though. What a trooper!

Fun video to watch. Being an older Cadillac car lover myslef, I truly appreciate what you have done with this old girl. Most would just push her into the ditch and cover her with dirt. haha. I have two olders (80's) Caddy's in my garage. First is my super clean 1988 Cimarron at 62,000 miles and the other is my 1986 Seville sedan with the same engine as yours. My Seville only has 23,300 true miles and is pristine. I'm the second owner of it. Even with all the miles on yours, the engine sounds nearly the same as my Seville's.

Sweet caddy ❤ that was back when Cadillacs look like a Cadillac..... In the mid 90s my parents had a beautiful deep metallic Blue 86 sedan DeVille it was my favorite car they ever had..... I still miss it😢.....they would have still have it now if one early morning when my dad was otw to work Bambi decided to hopscotch across the highway and totalled it....thank God dad was okay.....but that caddy not so much..... I would think twice about getting rid of it if I was you...... Cause they ride like a dream...... But if you decide to get rid of it I hope whoever gets it appreciates it...best of luck to you either way.....

We had one of those years ago..a burgundy '85. People hated those HT4100 engines at first because Cadillac made the silly decision to introduce them in the full-size Sedan De Ville. They were extremely underpowered and short-lived in those models but they were a lot more suitable in the FWD versions like this one. They had some reliability issues initially but they were pretty solid by the time they morphed into the last 4.9L. That transmission is the very first version of the 4T60-E. In that car it is a 440-T4. No electronics. Didn't get to notice whether it had the fiber optic rear lamp monitors above the rear window. You could look at them in the rear view mirror to make sure there wasn't a bulb out. The object you pointed out in the right front corner is a "waste receptacle", not a trash can. There are ashtrays and lighters all over the place because in 1986 people still rode across country in a haze of cigarette and cigar smoke. Enjoyed the video.

My favorite Cadillac color of all time. I believe it's called Colonial Yellow.

That thing is clean for such an old car and with that many miles. I would take it and fix it for nostalgia 🤷🏾‍♂️

The chime might be going off because of the "stop engine temp" warning light, she looks pretty good for nearly 400,000 miles.
@JoesFlyingToolbox
@JoesFlyingToolbox Ай бұрын
It was stuck on due to a bent metal contact in the ignition switch, and the warning light actually came off after about 15 minutes

Not too bad of shape for sitting in a field for five years and 384k miles on the clock.. a little rough around the edges but not horrible at all. I know of someone that had a champagne gold colored one, '88 I believe and that car was clean and slick, rode like you were on a cloud. Nobody really likes the downsized Caddies from the 80's but I do. Good score. Shockingly it isn't all rusted out real bad underneath for the age and miles and being a Colorado car.

Sounds really sharp. It is just something about the back end of these DeVille's that I really like.. and like the 90's Eldorado as well those.. were really eye catching for me as well.@@TheRealGeneration14

@@marcodarko6941 Right, I had a 89 Eldorado back in 2021. Actually, regret letting go. Definitely, the rear it still carried the traditional Caddy look. 👀 Look better than today’s cars!
