I will NEVER, EVER understand the mindset of ANYBODY that could allow these type of cars with potential, to be allowed to be subject to the mercy of the elements, and that so many years ago could just be dumped out in this swamp to ROT away. What a waste of golden machinery!!

@@lonnyjaw it was around 30 cars on that property..we understood that the owner would drive a car till it wouldn't drive and he would park it and go get another car.. it wAs 4 door Lincolns with the suicide rear doors sunk into the ground...

That Roadrunner wasn't worth squat when he parked it there in the 1980s. I had a '69 with the 440 and a four-speed I paid $800 for. It threw a rod, and I sold it to the junkyard for $100. It's valuable now, but back then, it was just another rattle trap Mopar. More trouble than it was worth.

Ahora mismo si tú ves mi dirección te asustarias mucho ya que tiene un enorme juego libre y no tengo cómo repararla es muy duro tener el carro trabajando pero no hay de otra.

@@mjwbulichmy brother bought his 69 TR in 79 for $500 and after driving and enjoying it for 5 years and having it painted, new wheels & tires, etc, he sold it for $3k which was high back then. Nobody had any idea it would be a $60-$80k car today and they weren’t desirable to the mass back then like Camaros and mustangs so they got parked till another Mopar nut like myself or my brother or this fellar would come along.

In late 70's I also had a 318 Satellite, was 2 bbl single exhaust automatic but those '68 318's were only year they came from factory 10 degrees advanced then I added one lighter spring in the points distributor and wow that stationwagon was unbelievable fast.. Some hot rodded Chev drivers that didn't win believed my wagon had big block in it but nope just two barrel single exhaust 318... thanks for the memories..

I heard them say they want to pull it out and wash it .. It will not be parted out in the near future…they have talked about full restoration with AMD to leaving it rusty and crusty and make it run and drive. No resto mod.. just get it mechanical sound and safe to drive

@@wingedanglers I am 99% certain it is a 57. Quad headlights were still illegal in 57 but were going to be legal for the 58 model year and every auto makers in the country designed their 58's to have quads Chrysler Corporation has pushed their cars into production a year early and the solution was to eliminate the inner headlights and use the location for something else. Yours doesn't have the inner headlights. Also, the Plaza Was the bottom tier car for Plymouth.

I’ve always heard that the old coranet four doors are the same as road runner or super bee underneath. Throw away the body and fix your road runner. Cool to find a complete road runner though.

You can rebuild any body-on-frame car no matter how badly rusted, but a unibody like that New Yorker, if the rust goes too far the whole vehicle loses structural integrity and can't be fixed. And parking cars on dirt like this is just a death sentence almost all the time.

We try to set them on blocks and old wheels when we set one down here . That New Yorker had tree roots grown around it. The dozer guy had to get some pressure on it to get it out.

64 GTO isn't a small car and only ran 15s stock maybe 14.9 at best. 61 Starliner 406 would smoke it with slicks or 64 427 Galaxie. My warmed over 390 66 Galaxie ran best 13.79 with 375 hp with a 4:11 GTO is overrated. Like you said Chrysler was making high performance cars before the GTO and some were faster with stickys. The GTO wasn't that fast until 68-71s with 455s

I know where a complete 69 RR is in king and queen county, Virginia thats Been parked under a group of pine trees since 1980. Same color and everything! Plus has factory tach and N96 air grabber hood. Needless to say.....its sunk up past the rocker panels in the dirt! Lol! 🤦♀️ Got a 69 Chevelle SS 396 (4spd Muncie) parked right next to it! Wish KZbin would let me post pictures, itd bring you to tears.🥺😭

That old Plymouth looks like it weighs a bunch sitting there but the curb weight of the actual car is a couple hundred pounds less than a new Mustang GT. And I'd love to see what that Road Runner looked like before the guy doomed it to sitting in that swamp - I bet it was entirely restorable.

@@normanbernard6017 it will not be parted out .The owners have plans on leaving it crusty and making it mechanically perfect or complete restoration . It's a big car show coming up and me and my wife are going to load the roadrunner up on a big nice red Dodge Cummins ramp truck and carry it to the show..What ever happens to it..We will have post it on this KZbin channel.. The owners have gotten on board with KZbin..So we made another KZbin channel for just Mopars and this salvage yard . Moparparadise
