Aside from being underpowered and lacking some luxury and convenience features other Cadillac models had, these were great reliable cars. The lever in the trunk is the manual override for the gas door lock.

That slider in trunk is the license plate lock to keep strangers out of the gas cap

Pronounce it like chrome... Not bro ham. The lock in trunk is for the gas filler behind the rear license plate so it cant be flipped down and your petrol cant be stolen or tampered with

If they spelled it like chrome, I'dsay it like brhome. If mirrored metal was spelled Crougham I'd probably say "Crow Ham" too.

The climate control would tell you any codes on the car. My 83 had a issue and you hold a certain number of buttons at the same time and it told you what was up.
