1986 Cobra STUN with Motor-Viper G.I. Joe review

I liked the Motor Viper figure. As a kid I used him as my Cobra Commander because here in germany the real Cobra Commander was not available in german toy stores and none of my friends had one and back in the days there was no ebay or even the Internet. So you had to improvise ;) BTW: I also never had a Destro, Zartan, The Baroness or Major Bludd. It seems that these characters were not available in germany. In later years they brought Dr. Mindbender and Serpentor to the stores and the battle armor Cobra Commander. Better than nothing ;)

I love the Stun! Plus I luved the driver. At the time I didn't know why I liked it as much but as an adult I figured it out, it was the color scheme. I love when colors are used together like light and dark of the same color

hey kevin, did you ever see the convention exclusive stun for the dreadnoks, it had the dreadnok logo in the wheel it was really cool looking. how do you keep your toys so clean, once my toys are on the shelf the dirt is just drawn to them and then it's almost impossible to get all the dust off.

The 2004 Dreadnok STUN was reviewed by JoeNerd11. It looks even better as a Dreadnok vehicle to be honest. While I give my toys a good cleaning with a damp cloth once a month (after cleaning them thoroughly after I first get them) I also spray them with canned compressed air weekly. This is the same CO2 air spray used for cleaning dust off of computer equipment. I don't have to touch the toys at all!

+formbx257 how do you feel about mint in box vehicles? I have a stun still in the bag but the box is open. The flags are on the tree along with the engine covers. I want to put it together except for the fragile parts. It's unbroken

Sherman Eagles It's your toy, ultimately you have to make the final decision on whether to keep it unassembled or loose/complete with box. The parts of this toy are super fragile and even with adult hands the risk of breaking things is high. If you ever want to re-sell this, not assembling it will help in shipping it to a new owner. However, If you want to enjoy a STUN displayed on your shelf - it needs to have all it's parts on to truly look awesome.

The motor viper actually does come with one accessory, it's a long-ish barrel pistol in black with an angled handle, which was over angled I remember because when you would put it in his hand it would point up towards the sky...it was similar in look to tomax and xamots guns

shtdaprdtr Sorry, the Motor-Viper never came with accessories. The pistol you remember may have come from another figure or vehicle. You can check YoJoe's Toy Archive (www.yojoe.com/action/whobit/) to try to identify which gun it was.

Unfortunately a lot of sellers are using Ebay Stores to power their online inventories of vintage GI Joe parts. The few that don't use it are: gijoejunkyard and bountyhuntertoys. Of course, I've found a lot of parts from local toy shows and conventions.

I could imagine this toy redone as a cross breed vehicle (horrible terminology, sorry) with a Cobra ferret. Made to look like a Can-am Spyder motorcycle like in the GI Joe movie driven by Brendon Frasier.
