great coverage thanks.I remember this era well and most of these horses,stearsby had a great future ahead of him but owner /trainer dispute and injury put paid to that as i recall. shame.

Stearsby wasnt as novice as all that. He finished his first novice season of 84/85 as a maiden. 85/86 was his second novice chasing season
