thanks for another great review, the gi joe and cobra air assault vehicles were my favorites and i have gotten quite a few over the years, regular and variants. 12 skystrikers, 3 conquests, 2 python conquests, 2 boomers, 2 ghoststrikers, 3 ravens, 3 tomahawks, 1 phantom (still looking for variant on that one) etc etc etc

Sorry, I don't have a Jetfire to review, but here's a really good photo/written review by GeneralsJoes blog: /reviews/2013/exclusives/sdcc_jetfire.html

You have to love all the little details they put in that plane (with the little tabs opening up to reveal the engine and other stuff like electronics). Not something most toy designers do.

Fbx257, I enjoyed your review and I was going to give the video a "like" but then I noticed you had disabled the ratings in the video...you need to have confidence in yourself as well as that people understand that GI Joe aRAH, even with its flaws, is not going to be attacked. Only fans are going to be watching. Yes, fanboys can be spoiled little s***s at times, but they are still capable of being both kind and generous.

the conquest and hurricane are the best all around planes of the line up in my opinion. sturdy, and look sharp.

Everything was the same as the US. Early on, Hasbro Canada experimented with putting Canadian things in (birthplaces changed on 5 Joes - with no explaination - and later versions of same characters reverted back to US birthplaces). But that's it, just US flags changed to Canadian ones, and "A Real American Hero" removed from text. The comic and cartoon were unchanged, even when translated into French.

What would be a good price to pay on the aftermarket? I've seen a complete on go from $60-$75 in good to near perfect condition.

I'd say around $35 with Slipstream, maximum. I'm really surprised at some of the high EBay prices for this jet. Sure, it's iconic - but it's sturdy with few parts that go missing and very easy to find.

Thank you, Ive just started to purchase Joes on the aftermarket. Your reviews as well as HCC788, have been a great reference point for me. Ive actually saved money from these reviews. A guy was trying to pass off a Snow Serpent with a blue back pack, as being complete, and was asking $20 for it. I passed on it, this type of review.

@formbx257 I wish you did GIJOE RENAGADES i WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU REVIEW THE BLACK DRAGON AND COMPARE IT TO THE 80'S COBRA JETS AND HELICOPTORS. PERHAPS THAT COULD BE A NEW SEGMENT 80'S TOYS VERSES 2000'S GIJOE FIGURES AND VEHICLES.

Hey Kevin, I am curious: What was GI Joe's role in Canada? Was it just exactly the same as in the US or was there a "Canadian Brigade" or something? I ask because I started watching actionjackson's channel and he reviews some Action Force stuff which is repainted GI Joe stuff but clearly a different "army" or what have you. Thanks!

Don't know how much truth there is to but I've read a while back that the Conquest wasn't really meant to replace the Skystriker but to be an air force equivalent.

Great review as always. Had this toy myself growing up, though it was purchased at a tag sale and missing alot of parts including the figure. Of course the shark design was enough to sell me on its cool factor in my youth. I am assuming those 4 Cobra symbols near the cockpit are suppose to represent enemy kills.

first, i agree with Drakeslayer Anmon... screw those negative bastards, anyone who thumbs it down isn't a fan, and as a collector of 28 years, i love your reviews and look to them to see what to acquire next. though i actually have a question concerning canadian and other non u.s. joes (im american)- i see the flagpoint icon for your user pic is red white and blue.... do all non u.s. joes have that? seems odd, considering "real american hero" has been removed, you'd figured they'd at least represent the country the joes are being sold in on the flag point.
@formbx25710 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching my videos! I'm pretty sure all countries flag points had their own unique design. Canada, Japan and UK had the red, white and blue stripes in them (the UK added a blue star, Japan added an eagle) but the design isn't supposed to represent the US colors, but the stripe design from the GI Joe logo. Argentina had flag points that looked like postage stamps and India simply had a star. I'm sure a collector who specializes in international GI Joes could tell you a lot more.
