1987 Advent Legacy Speakers

Nice find. Today I bought about 300 cds and 165 cassette tapes for $20. All rock and blues. Last week I picked up a set of mint advent u40 cabs...needed foams for $40. Been a good run lately. I also wash the grills. I use tide in a spay bottle in the shower use the little green bissle to suck out the water. Put them next to the vent. Not from the thrift though. Best thrift find was a yamaha stereo amp for 25$

Yep, that's the reason I don't usually do sound tests on KZbin. I'm actually listening to those speakers right now with another pair of Advent Legacys in a stacked Advent configuration. Great sound. I may do a video on the stacked Legacy system.

@mguess Nice! I just saw a video the other day on the stacked large adventure, I think it was the Skylabs Audio Channel. Back in the day I use to stack two different pairs of speakers, thought it was the best thing! Have to be careful with keeping the Ohms similar.

The legacy is a great sounding little speaker. It was a Consumer Reports "Best Buy" back when I purchased the first set in 1987.

@@robertng138 I think that's about what i paid in US $ back in 1987 for my original pair. I was very happy to get a second pair in such good condition for cheap. The vintage deals are out there, just takes some searching.

So crazy! I just bought a pair a couple weeks ago and refoamed them. I am about to recap the crossover as well.
