How gorgeous was Mary Wells, we lost her way too soon, a perfect gracious lady. Good to see Curtis who might have put a shirt on for the occasion. Wouldn't you just like to sort through Marthas' wardrobe? The bad boys of Motown really rocked the joint, David and Eddie's voices ideally contrasting each other. a great band and backup singer who knew how to shake a thang. I worked this concert at the The Forum. What was disappointing was there was a big audience for the venue. If I remember correctly I think the concert was there for 2 days

When she came to DC to perfom I always purchase tickets to see her. I am definitely a Mah Wells fan. She never stayed in a box. I heard her sing cover songs - Make Me Yours, Don't Let The Green Grass Fool You, She was smooth as Almond Silk milk.

I'm glad I discovered this. I ❤ all these talented artists, especially Eddie🤩 By this time both Mary and Eddie were suffering with cancer and you can't help but notice that they could not reach the notes we were used to. However, they were still loved and appreciated.

What happened to the beginning of “Keep on Truckin’”? Sounds like they started it in the middle. Kind of disappointing. Would’ve like to have heard the whole song from beginning to end. Eddie’s classic falsetto was not the same, but I’d still rather see Ruffin and Kendricks than the ‘87 version of the Temptations.

I read in her book that she’d have him sing so she could take a break since she was having problems with her voice by then. And honestly he sounded better than the featured acts anyway.

@@toriipooh4384 I wish Mary would’ve gone to see about her throat when she was noticing issues with her voice. From what I’ve read she had no insurance and only money she made was from concerts. But too she was a heavy smoker which didn’t help any.
