There's no denying Street Fighter's impact on the arcade scene. There was simply nothing else like it at the time, and it was definitely one of the best looking and most eye-catching video games in 1987.

Oh my God. I remember being 15 years old, riding my banana seat bike all the way to the mall to play this game ..... with a roll of quarters in my pocket. I would be there all day! Awesome memories

The arcade in my town had this as the feature game when I was a little kid....there would always be a crowd around it, with people mostly watching the guys who were good at it. The original controls had 2 big, round, pressure sensitive, latex covered pads you'd smash with the bottom of your fist, softer for quick jabs and harder for power shots. One for punches, the other for kicks. Player one had blue pads and was Ryu, player two had red and was Ken.

When I was a teen and strolled in Penn Square mall with my brother to the arcade section in Okc, Ok just as the mall was remodeled and we would check it out where everyone would crowd around and see who is playing this new fighter game amd who is the best fighter to go all the way to the end. this always ate my quarters. best game in that time.

Because there was literally nothing like this game when it came out, it caused a big impact in the arcade scene, choppy, but fun in the end, and capcom knew they have something special in their hands so they went back to the drawing board

Ryu, Ken, Mike (possibly), Gen, Birdie, Eagle, Adon, and Sagat are the only returning characters in the whole Street Fighter series. Except Ryu had red hair and Bruce Lee shoes, Birdie was white and had no chains on his arms, Eagle's pants were a bit tighter on his legs, and Adon didn't have his hair swept back. We all know why Sagat has a scar on his chest now and not here. Well if you pay any attention to the story of Street Fighter, you'd know that Sagat took a severe Shoryuken from Ryu, which as you can imagine left a lasting impression on him for the rest of his life

I thought they were ruby slippers

Birdie has been in Alpha games also and he wasn’t fat. He didn’t get fat until SF5. Mike Bison (Balrog) been around for just as long as Ryu, Ken, and Sagat. I think he returned the most out of their opponents.

Skilligy connects dance to the world! If you are an individual looking to start/develop a skill you always felt passionate about, Or if you are an individual trying to develop a hidden talent that could possibly transform your life completely one day, Skilligy is the platform that can provide you with a credible set of choices. We bring you all the best choices (and around your preferred location at that!) within which you can choose the dance class and teacher you feel most comfortable with. Skilligy is basically an Australian venture and we are beginning to extend our service into India. India is a country blessed with exciting prospects (both for extremely talented teachers and brilliant students). We are determined to connect the two groups through Skilligy. Why Skilligy? When you randomly make a wide-spread search on the net on your own, with no credible source to back you up, it is natural to feel skeptical about choosing any of those institutes/teachers. Have no worry from now! We at Skilligy are committed to check the credentials and skill level of the different dance training facilities and teachers so as to provide our valuable customers with the safest and the best set of choices available in your own location! To develop a personal skill-set you always craved for (my personal favorite reason) or to explore the possibilities of a new career, Start now! This could be the beginning of a special journey!

Yeah, they totally nerfed Ken/Ryu's special moves by the time SF 2 came around. Not only did the dragon punch knock out almost half your health, it was also unblockable in the first one. Once you learned to spam it you couldn't be beat.
