I wished you'd have mentioned the upper end of the spring has to be installed in the same exact spot if you ever expect the ride height to be proper. I found that out the hard way when I replaced the bushings in my midlife crisis '76 Stingray. I didn't seat either spring properly nor did I wait until it was on the ground to torque the upper control arms. I asked a number of friends for advice on what went wrong and when the weekend came back around, I redid about half of the work to make it right. Learned the hard way and that lesson has stuck to me like a tick on a neglected dog.
