I'm 17 and getting this car in white this weekend as my first car I'm so exited. Pear white with leather interior it's the"elegance" trim with only 40,000 original km's

Good taste but it’s a gas hungry car since it a V8! I being forced to used a modern car and Hyundai Sonata is only one that can do what 80s car do regarding the quality and design!

My grandfather had one with white exterior and a red leather interior, and when he gave it to my parents in order for us to sell it for him, my dad took me to school and summer camp while we had it. I remember going to school one day in this car and a teacher on duty said to me something like, "wow that's some neat service!" I must buy one when I'm older because I loved the car so much

Now that's a real Cadillac. Cadillac needs to stop copying BMW and go back to making Cadillacs. There are a lot of folks who like these kinds of cars.

+marc1093280 Cadillac is not copying BMW, they are doing their own thing. However, if you are so infatuated with the idea of a large, rear-wheel drive Cadillac, I recommend you check out the CT6. It's a real return to form of the Cadillacs of yore, being a large, full-size, luxury-lined, RWD Cadillac.

An entire CONTINENT over wheels! Classic exuberant American Car from a time in which size and strenght appearance were something really important. Might add I love the way how it sounds and the horn it carries. It makes it even more classy american! A real shame its so rare here in Europe. As also a shame American cars havent found their glourious way in world car market since 1950s.... Thanks for sharing Kyle. Despite old, an awesome automobile!

Kyle- the 5.7 wasn't optional until the 1990 refresh, there was a 180hp version of the Olds 307 4bbl (used in the g-body cutlass 4-4-2) that allegedly was installed on the towing/ limo prep/ commercial chassis packages

Your appreciation for the full size American cars of yesteryear is refreshing. Most men of your age have no interest in anything but electronics. The odometer, only allowing 5 numbers, makes it difficult to say, but I would judge it as having over 200,000 at least. Perhaps a little over 300,000 miles with good maintenance.

Its up for 600, hell Id buy it, these things are pretty reliable. Caddy fans adore them, a little work, bezels, a serp belt, and some aficionado would take it off of you easy. Not a bad car for the price, itd get you from a to b very slowly, but always would. Reasonable style, way better than most $600 cars lol

@mccrackenphillip yes and no. in this case, it was the gasoline 350. there was a diesel 350 sold by oldsmobile, and fitted in a few other cars. but if i recall correctly, the caddy diesel was 6 litres.

Sweet Caddy! It's not in the best shape of it's life but all around not bad for an all original car. The headliner in that car looks pretty nasty and the alternator belt probably needs to be tightened but if somebody did that and replaced those plastic side panels, this thing would look much better! Great video I love when you do these kinds of cars!!!

@saabkyle04 No, that is a 307 Olds engine. By 1988 the chevy 305 was fuel injected. The other way to tell the difference is that the Olds (and Pontiac) engines have AC compressor on the passenger side, while the Chevy has it on the drivers side. Real Cadillacs are different, they have the AC compressor on the midline of the block. The horn in the beginning is known as a 4 note trumpet horn.
