Gotta say I've actually never done that little trick with a crescent wrench on another wrench. So simple yet effective. Gonna steal that one. I love watching you do all the little details and sanding because it brings back so many memories having done the exact same process on the same car years ago. Wish I was getting more along on my 66 build but it's been on standby from building my new dream shop. At least I'm moving forward with something I suppose! Don't know how you keep taking the time to get all of this done and most of all while shooting it and pushing these videos out! I know how much work it is and I personally get burnt out trying to shoot and work. Your channel is going great and you deserve it! It hasn't come easy. Great job!

Thanks! Hey, as long as you’re making progress and enjoying life. I have been slacking some lately on the content just because of time and the fact that it’s hard to record this whole sanding and priming thing, as it’s time-consuming and it’s quite boring to watch. Hopefully once I start spraying paint, people will get more interested and it’ll be easier to make progress and content that’s entertaining. I’d much rather be building a big shop to enjoy down the line, so soak up the garage build for sure. It’s looking amazing and huge. Congratulations again on that.

@@crxseth thanks man. Maybe I'm one of the weird ones that enjoys watching you sand the guide coat off a quarter panel lol. It's very nostalgic to me.

🎶 All right stop, watch the video and listen. Seth is back with some sanding perfection. Guide coat, helps the panels look real flat. Find some low spots, we got putty for that. Sand, Sand Baby 🎶 😂 Seriously though, Love the content. It takes a lot of dedication to do that much to a car And video it all to share it with us. Merry Christmas my Honda brother

So when you put that glazing putty on that body line, run a piece of masking tape on the lower section where you want to build it up. That will give you a hard line to start with and is easier to shape. I just did the same on a Miata.

Hey Seth, I’d put the trim piece in that area by the gas door to ensure your body line is straight and over filled with filler. Idk just trying to help, so your not having to redo your work.

Not a bad idea. I think I’ve got it mostly worked out now, just a little bit of fine tuning.

Hi Seth I’m gonna get started on the rust on my crx to get back down to metal would you recommend a sander or the orange wheel I’ve seen in the past? At first glance doesn’t seem to bad
@littlejapanesehotrod2 жыл бұрын
Depends on what kinda repair you want ...Like how much material is on that panel if it's small I'd suggest using an abrasive wheel to see how bad it is or if it's big enough use 40-80grit to remove the old paint and fix it.
@MiguelFlores-ig7wd2 жыл бұрын
@@littlejapanesehotrod I appreciate you man 🙏🙏🙏 it seems pretty small so I think I’m gonna go with the abrasive wheel

Was this spoiler was not available for jdm models? It looks good, I have the same on my european 1989 CRX 1.6i-16 (the 131hp DOHC non-VTEC, I guess it´s the same as jdm Si), it´s all original except for the HKS Sports exhaust on it :3 I had spare heated CRX seats that were a scandinavia-only option on the CRX, I sold and shipped them to the US. Now someone has some really rare parts there!

Hey Seth you’ve likely been asked before so I apologize in advance but what paint gun setup do you use?
@crxseth2 жыл бұрын
For primer, I just use the $20 Harbor Freight purple gun. For paint/clear I use the Harbor Freight Spectrum gun.

Long term, the glazing putty to form the line below the gas fill is not going to hold on the car. Eventually it will just fall off the car.
