I bird hunted and fly fished out of a Dodge Raider for a few seasons. They are very capable little rides.

Nice work, good to see it coming together, and can't wait to see it back on the road. Just noticed You're in washington too, these are great rigs for around here. If all the ball joints are good, they will outlast the boots if you give em some grease regularly. I bought the lot once, turned out all it wanted was one of the top control arm rods, speaking of which, don't forget to grease those too. Bouncy seat..jelly. Who the heck would dislike? Must be a scorned lover...

Yeah, a couple joints are leaking grease...I'll re-grease and see if they can be saved. Probly got a thumbs-down for my junked-out messy garage...been working on projects non-stop and haven't taken the time to clean up in awhile.

I’ve got an 88 and this series has been awesome! Any insight on removing the camshaft sprocket bolt? I am at TDC and can’t seem to find a point to hold the camshaft sprocket in place so I can remove the camshaft sprocket bolt without turning the timing chain counterclockwise.

Hey man, how're you working on the engine? In the truck, or on an engine stand? If on an engine stand, drop the oil pan and wedge a wooden dowel or wooden handle in between a crank counter weight and block as it turns. If in the truck, remove the transmission inspection plate and do the same thing--wedge the flywheel. Furthermore, a sharp blow against the wrench should work without wedging, but may turn the motor a bit...That's how I do it anyway.

saludos. interesante el video, quiero hacerle una pregunta, yo tengo un g54b mod 87, de 2600 cc, la bomba de aceite me estaba traendo problemas, lo puse uno nuevo pero igual esta fallando hasta el punto de que se parto en un viaje de 80 km/h y no iba corriendo, lamentablemente se fundio la primera biela, no se que mas se pueda deber, lo probamos la bomba y funciona bien pero al inicio tenia problemas para salir con presion el aceite luego se normalizo. ya tengo suceptibilidad de hacer viajes de 2 a 3 horas. quisiera me aconsejes a que se pueda deber.

Hola, sin mirarlo, realmente no sé cuál es el problema. Sin embargo, la bomba de aceite sale de los ejes de balance, cuando una balanza se rompe, la bomba de aceite deja de funcionar. Puede obtener un kit de eliminación de eje de equilibrio que solucionaría ese problema. Además, la presión del aceite es generada por los cojinetes principales. Si se usan demasiado, la presión del aceite será muy baja.

Sus videos son excelentes de hecho es el unico que hizo estos videos de este motor y son muy muy interesantes lo felicito lo unico malo es que no hablo tu idioma y solo entiendo el trabajo que esta haciendo mas no la explicacion

hello, excellent video, I have a 1985 montero with a g54b engine but it does not have the original carburettor ... the carburetor is not in my country, which carburetor do you recommend

Hi, I used a Weber 32/36 on my g54b and it works really well...Weber sells a couple different variations for manual vs auto trans...

anthony zakrzewski Yes, the chain will have indents or dark colored links to match...there’s only one way to put the chain on, hard to get it wrong.

Hola, en última instancia, 70 pies libras. Primero, apriete a 30 libras pie comenzando desde el centro de la cabeza y trabaje en ambos extremos, luego nuevamente a 70 libras pie. (tenga cuidado, los 2 pernos más cercanos al frente solo se aprietan a aproximadamente 20 libras-pie).

motor a gasolina 4 g 54 , muy fiable y robusto, Mitsubishi 2600 cc. En EEUU , lo vendían como Dodge Rider, 😊
