I did decide to get the '85 Colony Park even though I was very disappointed with the '89 release. To me the more squared off styling looked more proportional in the front than with the '89 release. I was disappointed that the headlights have pegs and this one and the '89 Mercury wagon did not. I bought it over a week ago but still haven't been able to get it out of the Styrofoam shell becasue I can't find a correct size screw driver to remove the small weird size screws in the base (never have had that problem before)! From what I can see it mostly looks good, I do see one paint defect at the bottom corner of the C-pillar on the driver's side but defects are to be expected with these so if that is the only one I can live with it. I bought it on eBay for about $70 shipped so I figured that if I decide I don't want to keep it in several months I can probably sell it for a profit, as like you said the '89 was a very limited run and can sell for several hundred dollars now.

I have that one but I have trouble unscrewing it from the foam package.had it about two years now and it is still in the package until I can find the right one to unscrew it but from what I saw it looks great

It seems like these wagons were primarily used for crime scene investigating. Not necessarily neighborhood patrol. I could be wrong though.
