I was four years old and sitting on my dad's shoulders. 28 years later they closed Wimbledon High Street again and I took my dad to cheer on the team bus and celebrate us getting promoted to League One. The Dons Forever 💙💛

Was there with my brother. Brilliant day. A few weeks later we ran into Bobby Gould who saw us playing football at the common in our Wimbledon kits. He invited us to the ground to play on the pitch and lift the FA cup. Our Dad thought it was a wind up. But true to his word he was there at the ground and what a day that was! Came home with a match ball and loads of great memories. Bobby Gould is an absolute legend.

@@ZaFox Wimbledon have a bigger average attendance now in League Two than they did in the old First Division/Premier League. Many of the FA Cup fans that are still alive can be seen at Plough Lane on Saturday afternoons.
