1988 K5 Blazer Trade!!! EP. 1

Traded a 2006 KFX400 quad for a 1988 K5 Blazer!
In EP.1 we received a flipped over L8T 6.6L engine with 2 miles! Also received 6L90 transmission and cleaned our Np205 transfer case.
Be forgiving -- it's my first time talking into the camera. Hopefully I'll get used to it.

1988 was the first year for the trip odometer in both the square bodies & new OBSs. Also in 1988, the 4.3 litre V6 & 305 V8 were dropped on the square bodies.

FYI, you can swap your 170 amp alternator with a 220 amp one from a diesel. There is also a dual alternator bracket you could use (Alternator and Power Steering Pump Bracket - GM (12652395). Would you be open to selling one of your 32 spline 205's? I am in illinois. It is for my 72 K% L8t swap.

That's a great Idea! I'll have to look into that. if you can find a cheap 10 spline 205, machine it for the large 90mm input bearing.

@@SunrayGarage Alternator and Power Steering Pump Bracket - GM (12652395) It takes the 170 amp alternator but I am going to get two 220 amp alternators for mine. I will try to look locally for a 10 spline.
