If the NFL playoffs were expanded in 1988 the scenarios would be this Both the Giants & Saints win their regular season finale Dallas beats the Philadelphia Eagles Giants win the NFC Eastern division and host the Saints in a wild card game at the meadowlands while the Philadelphia Eagles hope the san Francisco 49ers beat the los Angeles Rams cause Philadelphia having the tiebreaker with the Rams cause if that happens then Philadelphia goes to the playoffs while the Rams are eliminated those Eagles would play at the Minnesota Vikings
