David Robinson is a big man and Sabonis makes him look like a guard because of how big he is😮😮😮😮

@edscottable He had tendon surgery in Portland just days just prior to either the '88 training season or perhaps it was the Olympic games themselves, I don't remember which but either way he had none of the necessary rest or recovery. The USSR team was strict, the decision for him to play was completely against criticisms from the Portland surgical staff who performed the operation. I think he'd have remained a healthy stud athlete into the '90's if he played his entire career in the NBA.

Sabonis, Marciulionis, Kurtinaitis, Chomicius - they are all Lithuanians, not russians, they were forced to play for the soviets

Goborov and Volkov(born in Russia, grew up in Ukraine) were also Russians,Tikhonenko must be of Ukrainian and Russian origins, born in Uzbekistan,he would later play for Russian national team. By the way, there is no Native American on this USA team, only depressed blacks and Dan Majerle)
