Another cool story. I've heard of several of these coins but didn't know there was a name for the category. I've been specifically looking for a no-FG for several months. I'm more excited than ever and look forward to continuing my search and looking out for other transitionals too!

Sold a complete set, of all 7 "P" varieties, a few years ago. Still have a few, including an unlisted variety, all found while CRH. Never found a "D". At one point, I was finding them, at an average rate of 1 in every 10,000 cents searched. It's been almost a year, since I found my last one, searching 2500 a week.

I've watched most the videos on KZbin about the 1988 Error coins. I have a No FG and a double ear print on same coin. I did my best to reach out to you.. I'm not a collector , I'm not a pro... but I thought I'd choose you to talk to. I wasn't planning on joining a group or buying a book . If i was in any shape to donate to your cause I wouldn't have found this penny. My story is book worthy. I'm positive I'll find another coin youtuber that's easy to contact. I understand why you do what you do, and make it difficult for everyone with a question to reach out. If you answered every question you wouldn't have time to make videos. I get that. But for unique rare finds , you should consider a different route , for some one like me. Your videos are very informative. So thank you for that. Off I go - by the way my 1988 is shiny and new- almost uncirculated... take care my brother.

I didn't know about the reverse Strong FG error. I just broke out about a 50-pound sack of pennies that I had for years. I started sorting them into jars by decade about ten years ago ... 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s ... with a category for wheat pennies. This past week I started weighing them to sort out 1982 and 1983 copper. I'm specifically looking for a 1982-D small date and any 1983 in copper. So far I've found several, about ten 1982 copper pennies which is not unusual since the transition to copper-clad zinc began mid-year. And that's only about five handfuls of pennies I've checked so far. Now I have more errors to look for. Many of these pennies were taken out of circulation the year they were made so many are in very good condition. This is getting exciting! Now I have the time to go through them. Who knows ... I might find something crazy cool in there.

I have a 1998 penny, reason I clicked on the video, and noticed something odd about it. I do not have magnification to clarify the FG but instead I noticed the ridge on the outside of the face of the penny was strange. The left side of the face of the penny has a higher ridge than the right side, which the right side has almost no ridge at all and is in pretty well condition. Any thoughts?
