Man Gretzky and the Oilers is an interesting time to look back at. The GOAT takes his last cup though he would have added one more had Roy not been such a beast. But I wish I could watch the exciting games of this era.

EDMONTON OILERS only lost 2 games in the entire 1988 STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS; 1 loss to Winnipeg and 1 loss to Detroit.

In 1987-1988 the NHL consisted of 21 teams in which 16 teams make the playoffs 🤔 In 2017-2018 the NHL has 31 teams and 16 teams make the playoffs. Food for thought

i think that this oiler team could finally played defense and part of it was Trading coffey wich had an impact!!, another thing i remember that during the finals mccsroley was put on a defense and he contined that rest of his career. keeping mind that marty was a forward.
