Great videos, I have a 88 Burb with a Travel Quest kit, 3/4oak across the entire interior. I had the 6.0 but I ended up going with the original 350/700R4. I put a Eagle rotating assembly in the motor that I zero decked, Brodix IK heads, Comp roller cam( motor came with a roller from factory) Edelbrock AVS2 carb, I put a Aeromotive Stealth 340 pump in tank as I will one day go back to FI because its no fun pulling over to change jetting as you climb in altitude. My trans I went with a TCI full manual VB and 2200 stall converter. Hopefully I will have it going in the next few months.

Sounds like a nice setup for sure. They are a lot of fun. I’m in the process of upgrading heads, intake, pistons and rods now. Shooting for over 700hp to the wheels.

I never used a pressure reducer on my power steering pump for my '74 nova it's been 4 yrs now with no issues.......... (knock on wood).......damn that's a beautiful 2wd suburban.........only a matter of time until you add boost......took me about 2 yrs till I pulled out my 5.3 and put in a 6.0 than shortly after that added a lsa supercharger. .....would have went with turbos but due to under hood room I just went with a supercharger for simplicity. ........I love it......works great with my terminator x max

I was surprised to hear a scary buzzer when you started up this 1988 Suburban. I thought all Suburbans only used the chime tones by 1988.

@jasaanarruda68003 жыл бұрын
I figured I would go with the extra horsepower and torque was the reason. Same size engine on the outside so it wasn’t any more work, just a bit more expensive. Good luck with your swap!

The front is Ridetech Strongarm tubular control arm kit with 2.5” drop spindles and Currie custom Ford 9” 63.75” wide. Wheels are 20x8 up front with 4.0” backspacing and rears are 20x9 with 3.25” backspacing. I had to roll the fenders a bit to tuck them. I mocked the front and rear out of wood to get it right.

@jasaanarruda68003 жыл бұрын
John I don’t have any experience with Howell so I can not comment but I can say the Holley Terminator Max system gave me the confidence to do the swap myself. If you have a TH400, you don’t need the X Max you just need the X since your transmission is not electronic. Good luck!
