Awesome video! Yes although I haven’t ventured into Aggressor / Bash Guard era yet there’s a lot of history that happens late 88 into 91 and so cool to follow GT and even Dyno trying new things. I never personally saw an Aggressor set at the store or in public, only magazine. I also think back as in 1991/1992 we all saw the start of Rollerblades with Skate Board popular already years prior and Mountain Bikes just starting to grow in popularity. You’re new build looking sweet too there, 90 is a perfect year to pick for it! Thanks for the vids!

Another informative video for those who dont know. I actually never saw an aggressor in real life yet,lol. Those 89's are really rare and pricey. You should do a 87-90 Dyno pro compe video but then the 90 has 3 versions and different forks too,same as the slammer changed the forks also. Jesus Gonzalez is the gt/dyno guru that knows all that for the dyno slammer. Cant wait to see that build broski 🤘

I had the 1990 F/F blk w/chrome forks back in the day, I pillaged my Redline RL20 for parts : dk pro fs stem, GT performer bars. ACS BOA's f/r, Araya chrome plated 48's & Flight 401's. I snapped the forks mid summer and used the redline forks I had left over... it got stolen and I had to save up for the Dyno Slammer. Of all the bikes I built and bought, my Redline RL20 & my GT Aggessor were my favs.

VERY INTERESTING! I own a 9/89 Performer Electric Blue with the Crash Dummy decals (Original Survivor) in pretty good shape. The only thing I’m missing is the rear frame stander (behind the seat post)

Bravo Tony you really did your research on this, I definitely learned a few things from this video. My fav frame is the 90, the 89 just looks wild to me and the 91 not really feeling the detachable bash. Looking forward to seeing your electric red build! That thing looks sweet 1 of 1

Cool! I’m 50/50 between the 89 and the 90. I’m still waiting for some parts to complete the 90 Aggressor. The forks were chrome plated but had imperfections in it near the dropouts. Like tiny bubbles from off gassing. The forks were sent back for rework. I have some other parts at chrome plate as well like the shorty pegs. Going to be an amazing build. Thanks for watching and commenting.

great video! the 90' aggressor team model was indeed available as a complete bike, my local shop had an electric blue one on the floor for years due to the high price

Thanks for confirming your experience. The bashguard era was very confusing. I think the Dyno Slammer was built with better geometry than the Aggressor. At least the people I’ve talked to always said they can get on a slammer any day and it just feels right whereas the Aggressor felt off and was difficult to adjust to.

Great video, thank you. I would put a photo of mine in the comments if it was possible, sadly KZbin doesn't allow it 😒

Well hit me up on the BMXMUSEUM under Atrains89. Send me a picture of your Aggressor and I’ll include it in an upcoming video. Thanks for watching and commenting.

1990 aggressor was like an early 1930's Motorbike with the frame dropped for an engine. What I dont understand is why BMX is decades behind modern MTB in terms of matrials and drivetrain. BMX could do with upgrading to hollow tec cranks, and modern frames / materials. This sport is very very stubborn! Hence im on a 26" DJ and can do street trials, transition and the same tricks as BMX except for grinds.

@atrainsАй бұрын
Oso it depends on the year, condition and how original the parts are. Check the BMXMUSEUM for prices of recently sold compete bikes for and idea. I tell you this….if it’s OG and you part it out…big bucks!

So GT could build them in the USA like they used to. I just picked up a new GT built in China. Called GT with a small list of quality concerns. They didn't seem too interested in my issues. Sad.
@atrains4 ай бұрын
Well that’s not the same GT from the 80’s. The GT of today has nothing to do with Gary Turner (who left GT in 1997). GT is owned by Dorel who is owned by Pon Holdings. They don’t care if you have any concerns really.
