To me this was an exciting season. I didn’t care about the record. I just loved the fact we had Troy Aikman and the team was young and rebuilding. I was sad when they traded Herschel because he’s my favorite Cowboy of all time, but I soon discovered it was the best move ever. The arrival of Emmitt the following season added to the excitement and fun of being a Cowboys fan.

In these nfl films videos I think the bad teams are just as fascinating if not more than the good ones , the 88 one on this channel with tom landrys last year and expansion bucs and Seahawks

@@ericsigersmith2831 played for Barry Switzer both in college and the pros. He was so furious that Switzer wasn't anything like he was at Oklahoma when he came to Dallas and practically ruined their dynasty with his lax attitude. Like Darryl Johnston said, they won Super Bowl 30 in spite of the coaching instead of because of it.

9:39--"If I'm going to expect _them_ to be positive and expect _them_ to...to be enthusiastic, then _I've_ got to be positive and enthusiastic." Now *THAT* is a coach!

Too bad the same couldn’t be said for Barry Switzer, Dave Campo, Wade Phillips, Jason Garrett, and now soon to be Mike McCarthy.

well there is plenty of it on you tube..... i go back to 68 so ive seen all the highlight films and have watched all the regular season games sinces the mid 80's when we were able to get games on our own satellite dishes before there was NFL sunday ticket ...a lot of then yearly highlight shows are over exaggerated to be honest but the 75 season was a great unexpected year.look into that one.... as well as the super bowl 10 which you can watch in it's entirety on here the loss to pittsburg in superbowl 13 was brutal look into that the final game in 79 the double comeback game was an all time classic plenty of stuff on that .... the loss to SF in 81 " the catch" was also classic watch that one watch the shows called Americas Game the 1971 cowboys and the 1977 cowboys both of those shows are great .....

One of the reasons DAL went 1-15 in 1989: they had a ROUGH schedule. PHI/NYG/WSH 2x, Saints/Rams/49ers, GB 2x, MIA/KC. 13 of their 16 games were against teams .500 or better

Who knew their only win would be in their “cursed” jerseys! This team could’ve had a lot better record, many close losses.

The cursed jerseys were not these dark jerseys but the old Dark jerseys that had a lighter blue... by 89 these jerseys were only 8 years old in that type of blue

Jimmy essentially came and in tore down an old house right down to it's foundations and built it back up. The retirements of after the season Too Tall and Tom Rafferty of old players. Luckily in from 90 to 93 the Cowboys were able to make hits on the draft and get players in free agency like Thomas Everett, Jay Novacek, and the final piece in Charles Haley.
