Surprises seemed abundant in this video: the gifted home-made jam and marmalade, the large juvenile swans with no flight feathers, and the gaping hole in the canal quadrant. As for the jigsaw puzzle, I can't seem to pass one up that is out on a table. Though not good at it, there is a feeling of being drawn to one. Thankfully, there comes a dawning of just how hopeless I am at it, and I find something much easier to do. The engine of your narrowboat also seems a complicated puzzle. So glad there are those who have the intelligence and skills to tackled them. Thank you for including us.

Hi Grace. I am very fortunate, I have some wonderful viewers, who occasionally like to send me gifts. The hole in the lock quadrant re-appeared and just recently a more extensive repair was made. I've always enjoyed doing puzzles but it can be back breaking, it's much easier puzzling on that table. All the best Alan x

Looks like your having the same weather this week that we're having here. It's been very dry so the rain is quite welcomed. I just noticed in the view from the bench on the hill that there are quite a few wind turbines in the distance. I had thought that there was just the one on the hill by the marina. I always like those "wind farms". Thank you for sharing your week with us, Alan.

Believe me Roni, it's a tricky one. I laid out a lot of pieces where they go but someone else put them back in the pile, so I'll not get involved with this one any more. I prefer more colourful jigsaws where you can concentrate on a section and someone else can do another part. All the best, take care.

Thanks Alan, good luck for episode 200, quite an achievement. Things are a little sketchy in NZ right now, we openned our borders to Aussie tourists, but one has come over bringing covid with him. Wellington, our capital, is in lockdown2 while they contact trace and covid test anyone who may have caught it, no one yet. It will stay in lockdown2 till wednesday or until they find someone who test positive, then they will go to level 4. Blimmen Aussies. Good luck again for sunday, and take care.

I think swans do occasionally swim like that but I was surprised to see a cygnet doing it. I like to acknowledge as many people as possible on the live streams but it's so difficult, as I have to talk over others. Yes that puzzle looked hard!!! I can only hack doing 500 piece puzzles!! Lovely though for boaters to be able to all have a go and all those books on the shelves for people to swap and read!!!! I've done quite a few vlogs based around the marina during lockdown and daily life, boat chores etc. I think it has enhanced my life, I do like the ability to move about, I know I spend a lot of time in the marina but I do have other interests as well.
