Hi Tammy and Glen. I would think many bridges have been strengthened since they were first built 200 years ago as the main transport would have been horse and cart. Evening Alan, that was a lovely cruise.. such a beautiful stretch of canal and a lovely sunny day to boot! I always hated being followed by other boats but I have to confess that I could never understand why anyone would want to go so fast in a narrowboat. We dawdled along to enjoy the trip... Why rush? Buy a caravan if you are in a hurry! Look forward to seeing the rest of the trip.. 🍷🍷

I was going to say that your trip out from the marina made me yearn for the sunny days of this summer but would you believe it yesterday(Sat) was just lovely, Tee-shirt weather but sadly today is back to its autumnal greyness. Hi Sue, the apparent spare spaces are due to boats being out of the marina cruising, there would only be a few spare, if all the boats were in. It really depends on what arrangement boaters have with the Marina but generally the answer is no. Cheers

Hi Keith and Helen, thanks for your comment. The marina is sited on 20 miles of lock free cruising, which is the Leicester Summit section of the Grand Union Canal between Foxton and Watford Locks. You will see new locks I've not done before, in later episodes. I'm not sure what you mean by paid members, I know some You Tubers have a Patreon page, where viewers can make regular monthly payments but I haven't done that. On the description of each of my videos there is a link to Paypal, where viewers can make one-off donations, should they kindly wish to do so. Some do regularly make donations. Any donations I receive are very helpful and are used for the channel, buying equipment of all sorts, cameras, SD cards, camera mounts, all manner of things. All the very best Alan x
