Great game i was 10 years old at the game with my dad on Row 20 right in the middle of the South End Zone. I remember that when the Hurricanes captains came out how they were taunting the crowd. The opposing fans always were in the northwest coner of the north end zone. Detmer lit the Canes up, I went to a lot of cougar games as kid and teenager and I have never seen the cougar stadium rock n roll like it did this Saturday. It was so loud and what a great memory. My dad was a member of the cougar club so we had season tickets for a long time. I seen a ton of great teams, Penn State, Notre Dame, Pitt, Texas, Oregon, Texas A&M, and great players, Faulk, Heyward, Metcalf, Etc. I miss my dad also my uncle played on the 1966 Byu Basketball team that won theNIT Championship back when the NIT was bigger than the NCAA tournament. My uncle's team beat Army coached by Bobby Knight. My uncle's steal and subsequent hoop i believe was the sequence that won the game for BYU

What a MAGNIFICENT game from BYU. They were awesome on offense AND defense.

I was on the front row of the endzone. First time I ever rushed the field. The entire stadium was pure electricity all night. What an amazing experience!

That BYU offense was the most entertaining O in college ball back then. Deter was a true mad bomber.

You know the Miami players were pissed at Craig Erickson after this game. He was terrible.

Which Erickson though? The HC Erickson made that bonehead macho 4th-and-1 call in his own territory that failed in the 3rd quarter. BYU went on to score the deciding TD. Agreed, the Cane QB was horrible but that was the turning point of the game, strategically speaking, imo.
