You’re inclusion of your mistakes makes you human and believable. Love that. One thing your really should do though is use torque specs and a torque wrench on the crank bolt, cylinder, and head bolts in my opinion. You were absolutely correct to use it on the clutch. I’m surprised you got it done in 30 minutes. That’s a lot of work. Great job.
@mattprice376643 жыл бұрын
On everything! I use a couple of them, I use your normal big boy torque wrench on parts JTR stated and then also use a pistol grip ratcheting torque wrench on everything else, it makes it not a time consuming hassle to spec everything out.. Assembly lube!

@@judaslicciardello3946 For sure can't wait for the next engine build.. This may just be my opinion , but you could literally build a channel based off of collecting and rebuilding different bike engines . Not trying to pump up your ego here , but the details of actually naming the parts , tourqe values and showing literally all the parts going in ; is much needed and fills a niche while not being overly long. Most youtuber just throw the parts together and boom done . I guess being a biomechanical engineer , I'm bias to your video . @Vaxzuv3 жыл бұрын
@@EbonyPope heating up the bearing is completely fine every guy does it to slide their crank in so the bearing expands while the shaft of the rod can go in what maters is if the bearing gets super heated and is spinning because then you’ll spin the bearing absolutely nothing wrong with heating up the bearing while it’s not moving like I just explained every guy does it this way so they don’t have to bang the crankshaft in the bearing which is super unprofessional.

@@Vaxzuv I didn't say that there is anything inherently wrong with heating up the bearing. But you should do it in an oven where you can control the temperature. Else you will overheat the bearing and change the hardness of the material. If it turns blue it's shot.
