I had one still regret the day i sold it. You don't see them very much anymore. Good to see you saved one from the rust that eats them all up.

OMFG. Either you have ocd to the max, are an incredible perfectionist, or both. Whatever it is, that is the most incredible ground up build of a crx I have ever seen. Huge props mate and major congratulations, for one of the most amazing cars I have ever seen. I have an ed9 red, and I wish I took this much time and did it majorly properly. Well bloody done mate.........simply outstanding.. keep up the fantastic work.

Just lovely. Beautiful work. A couple of things I would also do would be to change to Focal speakers (nice 6" splits in the front, and 5" coaxials in the rear with 3/4" MDF baffles), add a multi channel Rockford amp, and a 12" Rockford sub in a sealed box in the back. Smooth, loud enough, but not stupid. I would also tone down the red in the interior. Black vinyl wrap some of the red paint maybe. Otherwise it is one of the most amazing restoration jobs I have ever seen. I would love to know the cost in time and parts. Adding cruise control and a turbo are nice touches, but as it is non stock in appearance I would go for nicer wheels, TPMS, a backup camera, and a flip out touch screen GPS/media receiver. Honestly, this video was just like pron to me. I need some privacy, excuse me everyone....

Awesome work man! I’m doing a restoration on my 87 Camry, everything original as well. However if I would’ve been doing your build I would’ve powder coated and ceramic coated all of the parts u painted. To me that paint is gonna fade faster on all the metal. Just sayin, all that hard work just to kinda get tarnished faster. Looks like your in a mountain and snow area, all the more reason to put extra love into longevity👍🏾

Great to see a guy do a ground up build himself and not at a shop that specializes in full restores doing it for once but got to ask why the original engine? Wouldn't you rather have a turbo k-series for performance?

Should have paint matched the rims they stick out like a sore thumb but great job buddy on restoring a little fast bastard I almost died in one modded long story we almost hit a big rig going 140 on a down hill straight maxed out

Stop bitching and moaning about the red interior and aftermarket lights and try appreciating the hundreds of man hours and commitment required to complete a car to this standard, not many people are up to the task,he even rebuilt his own transmission, hats off to you sir.

Love the bodywork and the way the car looks after but like others have said why the hell put what looks like a d15b2 in there? I have nothing against the d series and if you wanna go that route then there are a bunch of them that are in every way better then that one.
