I remember all of this from when I was in high school. I'm right there with ya buddy! I grew up in Montreal and this music exploded in the clubs. We were under aged even though the legal drinking age was 18, and we'd go to progressively shittier clubs until they'd let us in. The number of beautiful girls dancing was OFF THE CHARTS along with our hormones! Thanks for bringing back the memories. Wow, now this is incredibly nostalgic for me!!!! My local radio station growing up, 94.5 The big dawg, was playing all of these songs and we were going nuts on the school bus lol. I remember recording these songs on tape off the radio. Then when CDs came out I found a compilation for them called “Pulse” and I actually still have it somewhere haha. I need to dig it out now!!! I live in RI and back in the day we had a skating rink called Roller Kingdom and when I hear this music I always think of roller skating and playing the arcade street fighter, I love this music. 38:52 THIS is an amazing piece of commentary. After spending many decades in Chicago's industry, it's amazing witnessing how some people even in their 40s just can't hang it up. They have to be out all the time still starting some drama, can't be home alone, always have to have people around them, and have zero ability to be independent in their lives. Lots of them usually end up as leeches, addicted to ketamine/coke, always has excuses, and can't hold jobs. I agree, swallow some pride, and realize it's OK to grow up. Some of these people need to be just thrown a proper adult beating of sense into their faces. Sip of coffee for that jacket brother.

Friggin love that album!! (return to the 36 - ODB). That's my teenage years right there. Got a couple of years on you but in the UK i remember sitting on the bus listening to all these and more. I was hugely into my dance music and hip-hop and as I've grown older my love of 80's and metal has grown too. Saw Snap last summer and man she's still got it. Absolutely killed it!

Tape decks are hard to find because for some reason cassettes are making a comeback, and everyone is jumping on board; I lost count of how many nice tape decks I walked past at the local Goodwill, and now I can't find them there anymore (it's been almost a year).
