Rare and unique Album from Tom Borton in 1990 with the efforts combinations of David Sanborn and Tom Scott. I have been listening to Smooth Jazz for 43 years since 1981 at the age of 17 years old.

I miss the 80's and early 90's SJ. Thank you for keeping the 80's SJ alive. ❤

I have this CD too. At least a couple of these songs have aired on the Weather Channel during the early 90s as well. Sad Tom Borton died too soon.

I've been listening to smooth jazz for 40 years and I'm baffled that this is the first I've heard of Tom. Fantastic funk and groove.

Same here! I was like - who? And I specialize in obscurities. I guess he was just cursed.

Don’t stress. Pretty much everything Kyle uploads is DEEP! I rarely know most of it like you guys. And it’s why I keep coming back 🎉

It’s still being produced out there by some very talented artists, just few and far in between. Sadly, very few radio stations promote these artists anymore. So it takes a bit of digging to find them these days. But they are out there

Didnt know tom borton! But i have to say... I love it!!! This is the kind of good vibes smooth happy jazz I love! 😊 Wish i could cherish my music taste with somebody else. But, unfortunately, here in portugal, people of my age dont like this!

Olá H, também sou de Portugal e adoro música, principalmente jazz. O pouco que já vi da tua playlist é impressionante...até Hans Zimmer - Millennium...Uau...Don´t know if I´m your age but you found someone here in Portugal that has the same musical tastes...Also Rippingtons fan...Uau😍

Nice! Eu sou de 88'! Curiosamente, as minhas favoritas de smoth jazz são deste ano! Principalmente as dos rippingtons! Conheço muita malta que gosta de jazz, mas nem tanto de smooth jazz!

Ive seen several comments from you over the years about unknown songs that have been solved on this channel. What radio station did you listen to back in the day?
@edwardsmith39807 ай бұрын
@KJCMuzique kltr 93.7 format has changed. Used to be soft rock and smooth jazz on Sunday mornings in the early 90s. Kjzs 106.9 used to be the 24 hour smooth jazz station between91 and 92. Koda 99.1 had smooth jazz Saturday night and Sunday jazz brunch late 90s to early 2000s. Then the wave to about 2008. Miss each and every one of those stations in Houston

@@KJCMuziqueI believe I remember hearing he passed away from a heart attack. I had this cd right after it was released while I played tenor sax in high school. They played some tracks on WBZN in Milwaukee back in the day. Also, track 3 features legendary drummer Kenny Aronoff. Apparently Tom Borton and Kenny were in a band together while in college and go way back.

@KJCMuzique7 ай бұрын
Watercolors doesn’t really keep my attention anymore these days. I used to listen regularly, too many artists doing the same thing, some songs even have the same chords and progressions as other songs.
