I never knew Brad Nessler called NFL games for CBS. Saints vs. Falcons 1990, week 3 was a classic. I hope somebody can come up with that one.🏈

He even called a game that you’ve uploaded (Cowboys/Oilers 1991 OT marathon)

There was a rumour that he was going to fill in for Jim Nantz in the final week of the 2021 regular season, but Tom McCarthy ended up doing that game

He did. But only for a few years in the early '90s as far as I know. I wish Dan Jiggets hung around longer too.

@@fantasticvoyage262 Brad worked NFL on CBS during 1990 and 1991 seasons. He moved to ABC/ESPN from 1992-2016, before returning to CBS in 2017.

The 1990 Falcons were a tale of two teams tough at home: beat 3 playoff teams (New Orleans, Houston Cincinnati), knocked Dallas out of the postseason, played the Eagles and 49ers tough But on the road……… bruh

The Cowboys were 7-9, coming off a 1-15 season, and 3-13 the year before that. That was no big feat. I remember all the times Dallas booted the Falcons out of the actual playoffs, though. With Danny White, no less. It took a former Cowboy to get you to your first SB. Dan Reeves performed miracles for you. How bout those COWBOYS! Peace

Jerry Glanville. Misunderstood and under-rated. One of only TWENTY NFL coaches in history to lead 2 different franchises to PLAYOFF VICTORY.

If by "underrated," you mean "a blowhard who never had consecutive winning seasons in Atlanta," then yes, he was underrated. If you mean "a coach whose teams underperformed 6 out of his 9 seasons," then hell yeah, he was underrated. If you mean, "the coach who squandered more talent than any other coach in history," by all means he was underrated. If you mean, "the most unprofessional coach this side of Buddy Ryan," I wholeheartedly agree. If you mean, "the coach who was fired after leading a team to the playoffs 3 years in a row," AMEN and good riddance. He was an asshole who was hated by every other coach he ever slithered on the other sideline from. His teams were undisciplined, applauded for cheap shots, and folded even when they had more talent. Why you admire this bum is beyond me. Great coaches stay put. Putting him in the same class as Reeves and Schottenheimer and Belichek and Parcells, et el, is shameful. After winning a wildcard game in Atlanta, he followed it up with the WORST defense in football, leading to back to back 6-10 seasons, and was never hired again. He never built a team. He never built team unity. His teams never overachieved. He got lucky to inherit two good teams, and helped them barely get in the playoffs and beat slightly above average teams. The following week, he would face a REAL team and get his ass handed to him. He was a clown. Peace
