Totally awesome channel! Thanks for this one! I was at the game never thought I'd see it again! Do you have 1991 Denver at San Diego or 1991 San Diego at Denver?

Thing is, aside from this game, Pat was actually right about this. The following season, Kubiak announced his intention to retire, then had to relieve Elway in the 4th quarter of the AFC Championship Game in Buffalo when Elway suffered a thigh injury that tightened up. Kubiak jumped right in and started throwing darts. He damn near found a way to steal the game.

It wasn't a falier in Dallas I looked at almost every aspect of the trade..it was on several documentaries..every time I watch the release and draft pick clause I'm shocked..if you consider the trade the new commissioner the new coach in Dallas the new owner in Dallas the mega draft picks that Dallas got on there way to 3 championships and the fact it looks as if Minnesota was forced and never embarrassed Walker it looks like a conspiracy..I saw Walker in a interview and he said he averaged 3 touches a quarter in Minnesota..I watched many Minnesota games and several lower level running backs would carry as much or more times than Walker and they forced Walker to block..Walker was one of the best if not the best all around nfl running back..rushing recieving blocking and kick coverage and kick returns...no other player in nfl history compared in that class of player..and then throw in the fact the last years of walkers career was back in Dallas...i don't believe a commissioner would sign off on the Walker trade unless he was paid off ..look at Dallas after the trade and look at Minnesota after the trade...something ain't write

Why were the Vikings so stubborn about not playing Herschel Walker as there featured tail back?
@michaelchristopher3845 Жыл бұрын
Both Jerry Burns and Mike Lynn wanted a plug and play offense. Both refused to look at the big picture and run Walker like Dallas ran him!!

The dark era of Broncos offense during the Elway years. 1989-1992. Terrible scheme. Terrible personnel. Reeves could never surround Elway with talent. So glad Bowlen fired him.

And still somehow they made a Super Bowl and almost a 2nd

Reeves was an incredible coach, you dunce. You don’t go to three Super Bowls (4 if you count his falcons tenure) without being a top-notch coach. Elway had plenty of talent around him. He had excellent receiving backs, a very talented tail back in Humphrey, three very competent receivers, and a Hall of Fame caliber tight end. In case you don’t remember, Elway didn’t play very well in the first 3 Super Bowls. You can’t put that on Dan Reeves.

@@MaximusWolfe not saying he was bad. He just never evolved. League was passing him. He didn’t adjust. We all know why they got to those super bowls and then were out coached and were embarrassed. Contrast his years to the Shanny years. Night and day.

@@MaximusWolfe Elway had a bad cold and cough against the 49ers. He wouldn't have played if it wasn't the Super Bowl (and probably shouldn't have, anyway). Also, he didn't have any defensive support in those games (giving up 39, 42, and 55 points), and they usually had shaky O-lines under Reeves along with an average supporting cast (Humphrey was pretty good, but he was only there for two years. Elway only had a few offensive teammates making the Pro Bowl under Reeves.
