i drive the tour boats at the forks and cruise their track several times a day. i even found and old poster from the event. another reason they stopped was that the government banned sponsorship from tobacco companies and players was the sponsor

i was at all three years of the event and what a fun weekend. i think i still have my beer kosie from event. i have these races on vhs i believe but no machine to play them. lots of pictures

Anyone know why this still isn't a thing in Winnipeg I'd love to see this in person

I was at this race and watching on the old Alexander docks. Remember the boat blowing over. Not something anyone expected to see. I'm not sure if this was the only year or if they raced one other year on the Red. Insurance and noise is the biggest negative on racing. Any racing event nowadays is looked down upon by the lefties.
