Fabulous fabrics! The sleeve fabric is sooooo perfect with the other fabric. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I've never been a fan of the 90s drop waist style - but your version is beautiful. I like it in the shorter length - the longer version on the pattern envelope has the potential to look frumpy .... especially on a shorter person .... but you carry it well. And I can't get over how well those two fabrics go together!!! Very nice. And looks so warm and cozy comfy too!

Andra I always do gathers like that. I have several 3 tier dresses and I sew the fronts and backs separately, it's so much easier to manage. Thanks for a lovely video. 😊

Your dress is lovely - I particularly love the lacy contrast sleeves. The length is much more flattering than on the original pattern. I’ve used the same technique for attaching the skirt separately to the back and front. This was the instructions given on a love notions dress which I made recently.

Oh now that looks a super comfy dress and love the contrasting patterned sleeves. Lovely colour and I can see that being worn a lot. Those pockets are low, did we have longer arms in the 90's? 😂. Thanks for the tip on gathering, I'll make a note of that. ❤ xx

Andra, the dress is nice, it looks good shorter. BTW I have a 1960s Vogue pattern that instructs you to attach front bodice to front skirt and then same to back. I do like that way it is easier 😊
