Most people just think of the R-Type games and maybe Metal Storm when they think of Irem but they had so many other awesome games. Ken-Go, Dragon Breed, Ninja Spirit, Gunforce 1 and 2, X-Multiply, In the Hunt, Undercover Cops (Alpha Renewal Version which i recently made a video about), Hammerin' Harry, etc.
Oh dear. I took about 30 credits to beat this game. 😅

It bears a striking resemblance with Ninja Spirit, another arcade game produced by Irem, although i think that Ninja Spirit looks better, despite being an older game. Dunno bout gameplay, considering that i never got the chance to play this game in the arcade or any other platform. It can't be much harder than Ninja Spirit, i'm pretty sure about that....

You can block in Ken-Go (aka Lightning Swords), and you have a health bar, making it much easier than Ninja Spirit. I personally like Ken-Go's art better, but I like that Ninja Spirit has a "larger" screen ratio so more stuff can be fit on screen, though that's really just because the sprites are smaller in scale. The stormy field background art in Ken-Go is the best though

@@drlight6677 Dunno, man... I just find the graphical style of Ninja Spirit to be more charming in its "gloominess". Oh, and that somber soundtrack is unmatchable.
