My son bought a used 1991 NSX with about 120,000 miles on it many years ago. I drove it once and couldn't get over how close you sit to the front of the car. In stock form, it hauled S! He eventually went through 3 suspension setups, full length headers, modified close ratio transmission, two sets of wheels/tires, larger injectors and a roots type supercharger. That thing had really insane power all on a stock bottom end block.

Amazing! :3 I really love Japanese cars. In general almost all of them, but the ones from the 90's are the best! Hot shape, reliable, powerful engines, lovely sound (and many different layouts like boxer 4, V6, V8, inline 6, throaty inline 4, even rotary) and everything is mechanical, no electric systems that delay/dampen the feeling. Everything is so direct. Even without assists they are easy and fun to drive if you respect the drive. The precise quality engineering makes these cars perfect :)

I will disclose that Ayrton Senna is the greatest F1 driver I have ever seen. Senna actually did laps during the development of The NSX to help fine tune the suspension and car. He was also gifted a NSX by Honda after winning a F1 World Championship. I even found a KZbin video of Senna driving The NSX at Suzuka. The NSX was a huge deal. I grew up driving an old Corolla. Economy at its finest. Lexus was Japan making a Mercedes. But The NSX was even bigger. A high performance halo car that could go head on with Porsches and Ferraris? That was the real shock.
