That off-throttle sound at 5:13 is one of the best sounds to come out of any car, ever.

_"It was like a horrible truck to drive"_ - Alain Prost Anyway, I liked the Ferrari 64X series 1989-1991, even as Senna fan.

That comment was made because of a component malfunction in a specific race, not the actual handling of the car overall...
@giorgio2622 жыл бұрын
Apparently that comment caused the premature end of the season in Ferrari for Prost. I remember there was a lot of hope around the 640 and its developments. Too bad it was just not meant to be. Still, this generation of Ferrari f1 cars was one of the best looking.

who owns these ex-F1 cars? racing teams, or rich guys that manage to buy them to trackday sometimes ?? are they buyable as are the ex-group c cars?
@Belgian-Motorsport4 жыл бұрын
Owned by rich people, but Ferrari keeps them in storage and does all the servicing. And then they bring the cars to the track.

I'd love for F1 to go back to these types of race cars. The Ferrari F1-91 643 only weighed 1,113 pounds/504 kilos. But, I'd prefer a 1.5 liter inline 4 turbo of the Brabham BMW which had 1,500hp as the engine. The world is going to smaller displacement engines and turbos will be more common to get more power out of smaller engines... Does anyone know the size of the rear tires on this race car?
@fargeeks Жыл бұрын
all ican tell you is that the tires is THE ONLY CHEAPEST THING on a f1 car that anyone can buy , i say for $2,000 or so the engine itself OOOOOOOHHHH!!!!!!!! nope no way in hell!!!!!!!!!!! the engines in the f1 alone costs millions of dollars!!!!!!!

Mal sehen, was ein Hamilton dann erreicht.
