I hope you get a good price! I'm just about done mechanically restoring my 130,000 mile 89. Then it's off to paint and it'll be ready to sell. Definitely not as valuable as yours, but it has a great story, everything I've done is fully documented on video, I think someone will love it.

What wax or Ceramic spray product did you use apply to have shine so beautiful; given it’s a 1991 original paint.

beautiful car man i loved my prelude sadly got destroyed by a drunk driver hitting me out of nowhere. i would say tho reading description the price u want seems high even tho car is in great shape i dont see many people paying above 13k-16k but. Wish ya the best of luck. it would make for a sick day to day car tho in that 10k range.

Were the wheels flat black from the factory? I remember them being silver color. Good luck, with the sale.

@@scrapdaddysgarage5027 The flat black wheels, might turn away some potential buyers, because it didn't look like that, when the car was new, or like it did, when the buyer was a young kid. Just my opinion.

@scrapdaddysgarage5027 I agree with what the othe guy is saying however the black plastic dipped wheels actually look tasteful. And you did a good job on painting them. People usually screw up plastic dipping and can never do it quite right. Bit yours came out good.

They're still out there brother; I got my manual 89 Si (non 4WS) 2 years ago rust free, run and drive and with clean title for 900. I'm still fathoms from reaching the condition this one's in, but I did just get another package from Japan with more genuine Honda NOS (new old stock) goodies, and a lot of the other bits like the new light covers, steering wheel, ignition cylinder, door lock cylinders and various wiring harnesses were pulled from other 'ludes that have (sadly) wound up at the boneyard. They live on in a way through this car, tho. They're not fast by any means, but they're so darn fun to drive, and IMO that makes all the time spent wrenchin' on it and hunting for parts worth it. My goal isn't to get it to concours condition like this one, but more "resto-mod" with tasteful tech upgrades mixed in with period-correct aftermarket upgrades. No crazy wings or skirts or none of that... think _OEM+._ I have a brand new 3A Racing (circa 2001) stainless exhaust that I got for free (dumpster diving) to replace that rusted-out stock(ish? looks like it was replaced before) muffler. I compared it side by side with a $600 Skunk2 on my buddy's RSX and it's practically an identical clone of it. Literally the exact dimensions of the existing can, too, so it matches the factory cutout perfectly, and has a deeper idle and rev note rather than the typical raspy _fart can_ noise many cheaper-made mufflers have. I also have a set of _Prime_ 5-spoke rims (pulled from a 91 Prelude, even, so offset is spot-on) that I'm resurfacing, and I have a fresh set of Falken tires waiting for them as well. I really can't wait to send this thing screaming down some mountain roads and really have some fun with it... I've been trying to take it easy on her until I can check off more service and inspection checkboxes; once I deem it's ready, tho, that B20A5 is going to sing a glorious tune. Hopefully you get a chance to find another one at a good price. Good luck!

I've heard the RSX tranny will bolt on to preludes....is this true.....I want a six speed Lude....lol
@DJSekuHusky5 ай бұрын
@@eriklee1794 I'm not sure, so I looked up both transmissions just to observe the bolt pattern. It almost looks like if you flipped it upside down it might bolt to a B20/B21, but I'm not certain if that would introduce oiling problems from the new orientation. I'm thinking you would also need some sort of adapter plate to fully mate it to the engine.
