Before you start the engine you must change the oil and oil filter and air and gas filters and change the water and put new gas then start the engine leave it for 15 minutes running before you drive ok

Change that timing belt asap, these are interference motors and with a belt that's at least 15+ years old, it's a recipe for disaster.
