My 1995 Toyota V6 pickup has the identical brake system, so your video was perfect. Everything was exactly the same. Got it done quickly and easily. Thanks for taking the time to do this excellent video!

Have you replaced rotors on that type of truck? I've got a Toyota with the same looking hub and would like to know how you get the rotor off.

Also you didn’t specify about the Brake rotors they also have to be in good shape or checked before you put on the new brake pads right? I think this will also help many of us if you can explain that too… good Video. Thank you so much for the content…

How do you take the rotors off, if they are bad?
@jonathanmartinezdrummer78302 жыл бұрын
@@tubejim101 no. Actually on checking the rotors if they are in good shape or they have to be turned before putting on the new pads. And if so How you would check the rotors because I’ve heard fro auto parts if you put new pads on random rotor and the rotors have some sort of defect or are Grooved they can damage new pads right?? Not sure if I’m correct let me know what you think …?
@tubejim1012 жыл бұрын
@@jonathanmartinezdrummer7830 Many auto parts places will not turn rotors anymore. They just recommend replacing the rotors if they are bad. As long as the rotor is still thick enough, and does not have deep groves in it, you should be fine. You can usually tell bad rotors, because they will have a lip that forms. If the edges, are thinker then the center, it is time to replace them. Some cars it is easy to take the rotors off. You can take them in, and they should be able to inspect them for you.

Always replace your brake fluid. It absorbs water and contaminates the fluid. It can destroy your lines, the master cylinder, and calipers.

you dont need those metal "v" springs for the pads? mine came with them and i lost them should i be worried?
@tubejim101 Жыл бұрын
If your talking about the clips the brake pads sit in, just go to the auto parts store. They might just give you some, but if they charge you, you can just buy the clips for inexpensive.

On my '91 pickup, the top tab of the brake pad has an additional clip on it. I see yours didn't have it. Are they needed?
@tubejim1014 жыл бұрын
Would need to see what your talking about. Do you mean it had two top clips? Maybe the last person did not see the old clip, and put another on top?

@@tubejim101 quick response, thank you... After searching for the part, turns out they are wear indicators. You can search 47771-22030 and click google images. There are pictures of the part there.
