私はこの小さな公園のすぐ近くで、生まれ育ちました。子どもの頃は、目黒川の川面まで降りて行けました。懐かしくてたまりません。

懐かしいね、MATSUYA。 この時期よく通った日の丸パチンコ。 人だかりのスロット屋。 振り返ってみたら、なんでこんなにもハマっていたんだろうってくらい通ったわ。 当時住んでいた青葉台1丁目あたりの映像があると、更に懐かしさが増すんだろうけど。 とは言え、中目黒のこの様な映像は大変ありがたい。 お礼を申し上げます。

この当時の目黒川沿いはお店がほとんど無かったですね。 色々なドラマやテレビのロケ地として使われて、オシャレになり出したのはこの頃からのような気がします。

Thanks! I appreciate that feedback! Back when I was running around videotaping everything I could see, I didn't see anyone else doing the same thing. About the only time I saw other people with video cameras was at events, like the Tokyo Motor Show, etc. I often overheard people I walked by on the street saying to each other "Why is he taking video here?", since they couldn't imagine any reason to be taking video of ordinary street scenes. The other thing I got a lot of weird feedback on was taking video of myself. People seemed to think I was crazy. "But you can't see what you're taking!" they would almost always say (this was before forward facing LCD monitors). Anyway, thanks again for the feedback! Yes its funny, the things that are common place never get recorded, but ultimately they become the most important historical records. I am with Legaia, these really are wonderful to watch, the closest thing to a Google Street view if you could slide the date all the way back to 1991! I was only 14 at the time, but really feeling the first big push of Japanese sofy power via anime and video games. This was the year Street Fighter 2 came out. Would have loved to have visited at this time. Just wondering what type camera you were using, from the selfie shots, its clear it was light enough to hold with one hand at arms length. It would have been VHS-C at this point in time?

I moved to nakameguro recently and i am from osaka. But i really concern how develop the city. So this video is so valuable materials. Every local people who lives in nakameguro for long time says “nakameguro didn’t cool spot before. Until 2000s, there are so many dirty worker and not safety place”. I couldn’t believe the story. However since i saw your video, i caught glimpse of old nakameguro memories. Very very thank you.
