And where is your scripture? 1 Nephi 3:7? It is not in the BIBLE (the Only Word God gave to mankind). The only reference that came close in the BIBLE is " Nephish" showing a son of Ishmael in 1Chr 5:19. If you know what GOD says about Ishmael is about bondage, in Gal 4:22 "For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he [who was] of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman [was] by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. For it is written, Rejoice, [thou] barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him [that was born] after the Spirit, even so [it is] now. Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. Roger, your comment makes no sense. The scripture she's quoting from is from a book that is an additional witness of Jesus Christ called The Book of Mormon. The Bible isn't the only book of scripture ever written ya know.

So if any writings from man is in contradiction with the Bible, then we know that it cannot be from GOD. Even if many people believe it is. God finished with the BIBLE in the first century around 95AD> In the last book of the BIBLE GOD had HIS WORD recorded ~ "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book." [Rev 22:18-19] This tells all of HIS children that HE would not add to or take away any of HIS WORD in the whole BIBLE. So, it gives great comfort to HIS children that we can be assured that any other writings are from the corrupt mind of sinful man puffed up in their imagination influenced by the devil to think they have a true "god" but in fact they have a false 'god'. This includes the book of morman, the koran, writings of ellen g white, writings of the jehovah witnesses, and any other religion, including the 33,000+ christian religions of whom all disagree with each other about BIBLICAL doctrines. GOD alone is HOLY and nothing man has written compares to the scriptures GOD had HIS prophets record of HIS WORDS in the BIBLE~ "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost." yesterday, i was at dance practice for the Cultural Event.(The Kansas City Temple,) During dinner, I could here my cousin singing on the microphone, and a voice harmonizing with him. When I went over there, sitting with him was Kenneth Cope. It was an amazing experience to sing with Kenneth Cope. I love his music! The night before, he sang to all the youth, and everyone could feel the spirit. I'm proud to be mormon.
