Added a lot more of the game. My previous edit was about 10 minutes. The first 8 games of the 1992 games will be completely re done.

I was at this game. It was like 95:degrees at kickoff and there was no air conditioning at Texas Stadium. No air flow either. The next day the papers were saying it was the loudest crowd ever at Texas Stadium. By the time we left the Stadium we were soaked in sweat and our voices took 3 days to recover completely. Haley’s first game as a Cowboy and this game was first win in our first Super Bowl season of the 90’s.

Those were really great, I remember watching the Cowboys back when they lost nearly every game, lol. It would just kill me when they lost, my father used to just laugh at me over how into the Cowboys I was. My first hero of the Cowboys was Don Meredith and he really took a beating every Sunday afternoon. Bach then, there was no Monday Night Football. I remember such players as Jethro Pew and other greats that built the team to greatness. The 90's teams were a real revision of the Cowboys being great. Unfortunately, they now have a prima dona owner who loves himself more than having a winning team.

This was Charles Haley's first game and you could tell in that first couple of drives that he was going to be worth that trade to get him. As everyone knows, Charles Haley was the final piece to the Cowboys's dynasty and the defense went from middle of the pack to 1# that year.

I just remember people coming to school the next day saying, 'The Cowboys will win the Super Bowl....' ... Coming into that season I thought the Redskins would be better as well as the Giants but I was happy to see the 49ers get back high and then the Cowboys back 13-3 on top was epic - so that was a great NFC championship game.

Yeah, the Cowboys won far more games of the rivalry, which I admit is really a one way rivalry since I don’t think the Cowboys take it as serious as the Redskins who are more butt-hurt when the Cowboys beat them than the other way around. The Redskins carry more want for vengeance than the Cowboys, so they play fiercely and that makes the media call it a rivalry. Even though the Cowboys have won far more regular season games, the Redskins always beat the Cowboys where it really counts, in playoff games. Twice the Redskins stopped the Cowboys from advancing to the Super Bowl by dumping them in championship playoff games, in 1972 and 1982. I think Dallas had a better chance of beating the undefeated Miami Dolphins in 72 than the Redskins did, but not for sure since that Miami team was pretty perfectly balanced. Not very many weak spots on that Shula team. No doubt Dallas could have beaten the 82 Miami Dolphins, but what would that Super Bowl be without that John Riggins breakthrough on 4th and inches, going more than 60 yards for the winning TD? That clip is unforgettable and Super Bowl Classic voted the 3rd most memorable play I’m Super Bowls.

John Tarka, do the math, had the Cowboys beaten the 49’er’s in the NFC Championship game in the 1994/95 season, it goes without saying that the Cowboys would have certainly beaten the Chargers like the 49’er’s did. Had that happened, the Cowboys would have won 4 Super Bowls in a row, something no NFL team has ever done or probably ever will. I personally think that stat alone puts them easily in the top three best teams ever. I welcome any comments or differences of opinion. As far as Jerry & Jimmy, I can’t say that I know one way or another what might have been going on. However, if you own a company & one particular employee out performs all of the others, they typically have job security, just saying.
@briancusack43862 жыл бұрын
@@Bcourtney7 I completely agree with you. You know, had PI been called on Deion in the NFCCG (like it should have been), the Cowboys probably rally to win that game. They definitely would have beaten the Chargers. Damn, they came so close to four in a row.

Just for a moment and try to imagine if Jimmy Johnson had stayed with the Cowboys and no salary cap was put in place. I've heard five SB's, honestly I can easily see six in a row. No disrespect to the Niners, but their time had come because this was the youngest average age team in the NFL. This team would probably had been hitting it's prime by the 1996 season and that would be 5 in a row.
